About Your Session

I take an extremely relaxed approach to each session and this is why they last at least one hour and sometimes longer. Please keep this in mind when booking a session. The more unhurried you are, the better our time together will be! It has been my experience that when working with expectant mothers, babies and young children, small breaks are an absolute necessity. Whether it’s a potty break, a snack or simply a hug, the end result is always the same. Happy, well-rested clients with full bellies equal better portraits.

Location

I will help you find the location that is perfect for your session and the look you are wanting to achieve. Whether it be fun and funky with an urban session, natural surroundings such as the fields or parks, or in and around your own home… the ideas are endless. I mainly shoot on location at this point, however, we can set up a mini studio in your home or mine if you desire an indoor studio session. I have a great list of locations to choose from or we can have your session at a location of your choosing. Feel free to browse my on-site location list.

Before The Session

You will receive access to the client info center which will have valuable information to help prepare for your session including a what to wear guide. I have a questionnaire that I ask all my clients to fill out so that I can understand what you exactly want me to capture and well as give you an idea on how you would like to display your photographs.

Illness happens, and if you need to reschedule your session, please provide at least 24 hours advance notice. One reschedule is granted without penalty, but subsequent cancellations and/or no shows and the retainer is forfeited and the session will be canceled.

After The Session

I will schedule the ordering session at the end of the photo shoot. The ordering session takes place 1-2 weeks after the session and typical occurs at your home. Once the session is over start to think about how and where you would like to display your photographs. Also think about who you want to share the photographs with (for example: family and friends). After your ordering session, I will host a complimentary, password protected, online gallery so you may share your images with family and friends. The gallery will remain online for 10 days and additional prints/products can be purchased during this time, utilizing the online checkout.
